When you Decide To Learn How To Knit

It has been an interesting old year and new year. Being housebound has been aggravating, but it has had its perks.

Perk being teaching myself how to knit. I have been wanting to learn for so long, and finally I did it. Thank you YouTube posters for the awesome video tutorials.

I am slowly making a blanket using Carob One Pound in Soft Pink. 200 cast on and so far just finished row 32. IMO it is looking good.

Candy Cane Santa Dimensions Gold Collection Update 2020

It has been so long since I had pulled this out, that I had forgotten I had it. A lot has happened since this was buried in my craft closet. Depression had gotten the better of me while I was watching my grandma lose the battle with kidney failure and Wagner’s disease.

I had started this back in 2014 with the intent of making it into a pillow for Grandma. As we can see that never happened.

Picture 8 is where I started back up this past October 2020. I have been working on it off.

Check back for more updates to come!

So pulled out Candy Cane Santa again to get some more work done and I almost have the lower left corner done!

The afghan is coming along just finished up the 7th skein and started on the 8th skein when I needed a break for a minute.

So with it being Monday I need to get some work done so I can get back to stitching. Sometime I hate being responsible lol.

April and things to come

It has been a long past 2 months. In February I accidentally stepped on a toothpick and had a hard time walking, in March my grandpa passed on March 14 (he will forever be missed). On March 31 I had surgery on my foot to remove the rest of the toothpick, which leads us up to now April 2nd.

I have done very little stitching until recently and it wasn’t on Candy Cane Santa (he got put away for a little bit so I could work on a chart for my sister). I am working on HAED Little Angel, I am still on page one but it is coming along since I can’t be on my foot lol.

Here is an update there will ne more to come throughout the rest of the week. Hope everyone has a great Thursday.
